These figures wear decorated garb and important headdresses suggesting that they are elite characters. Who are these characters and what was their destiny? To try to answer these questions, I adopted, as a methodology, a narrative perspective based on the passage of actors through different media; that is, identifying similar pilgrimages in other sites with art or in archaeological pieces of the region. These changes of scenery are forming the thread of a narrative and the comparisons facilitate the identification of the trappings and objects present in the paintings. This information, added to that from Andean ethnohistoric sources -local and regional- allows formulating hypotheses about the event that is portrayed. El arte rupestre Tardío registrado en la cueva Quillivil, ubicada en los Valles Calchaquíes, en el Noroeste argentino, exhibe una serie de hileras de figuras humanas pintadas, caminando en una u otra dirección. Estas figuras lucen atuendos decorados e importantes tocados cefálicos sugiriendo que se trata de personajes de elite ¿Quiénes son estos personajes y cuál era su destino? Para intentar responder a estas preguntas adopté, como metodología, una perspectiva narrativa que tiene como fundamento el transcurrir de actores a través de diferentes soportes; es decir, identificar romerías similares en otros sitios con arte o en piezas arqueológicas de la región. Estos cambios de escenario van conformando el hilo de una narración y las comparaciones facilitan la identificación de los atavíos y objetos presentes en las pinturas. Esta información sumada a la proveniente de fuentes etnohistóricas andinas -locales y regionales- permite formular hipótesis acerca del acontecimiento que se está escenificando. A arte rupestre Tardia registrada na caverna Quillivil, localizada nos Vales Calchaquíes, no noroeste da Argentina, exibe uma série de fileiras de figuras humanas pintadas, caminhando em uma direção ou outra. Essas figuras usam trajes decorados e importantes cocares, sugerindo que são figuras de elite. Quem são essas figuras e qual era seu destino? Para responder a essas perguntas, adotei uma perspectiva narrativa baseada na passagem de atores por diferentes meios; ou seja, identificando peregrinações semelhantes em outros sítios de arte ou em artefatos arqueológicos da região. Essas mudanças de cenário formam o fio condutor de uma narrativa, e as comparações facilitam a identificação dos trajes e objetos presentes nas pinturas. Essas informações, combinadas com informações de fontes etno-históricas andinas locais e regionais, nos permitem formular hipóteses sobre o evento retratado.
