Our aim is to identify and describe, on one hand, the difficulties in finding these documents and other accessory information, and, on the other hand, to point out the strategies needed to adequately contextualize this information. En este trabajo realizamos una serie de reflexiones vinculadas a la búsqueda, tratamiento e interpretación de un tipo de fuentes documentales: las actas de los bautismo realizados por religiosos y misioneros en la última etapa de vigencia de la frontera sur de las Pampas y Nor-Patagonia. Apuntamos por un lado a identificar las dificultades que se presentan para la ubicación de los documentos y la información accesoria necesaria para ello.
