At the same time, the characteristics of the territorial occupation by the indigenous and Spanish population, their demographic, cultural and political situation are analyzed. El objetivo principal del presente trabajo es elaborar un esquema explicativo del devenir colonial en la región de Choromoros -provincia de Tucumán- durante el siglo XVII, tratando de identificar las poblaciones aborígenes originarias de la zona y su posterior inserción en la estructura de la conquista. Paralelamente se analizan las características de la ocupación territorial por parte de población indígena y española, su situación demográfica, cultural y política.
