In this article, we study how the Compendio histórico de los reyes de Tetzcoco, of Fernando de Alva Ixtlilxóchitl, represents the war against Tenochtitlan and deals with the symbolic construction of the rulers of Tetzcoco. This chronicle is composed of thirteen Relaciones that explore the history of the Acolhua population in the eastern basin of Mexico. It represents the author's intention to insist on the recognition of his social position as a descendant of the most important allies of the army led by Hernán Cortés, a version that confronts the hegemony of theTenochca presence in the reorganization of the Spanish vicerroyal government. Las memorias de la conquista meosamericana fueron registradas en manuscritos conocidos como el corpus de las crónicas de tradición indígena que responden a un complejo de significados temporales y espaciales, así como a las preocupaciones de sus autores sobre las culturas prehispánicas y sus alianzas. En este artículo estudiamos cómo el Compendio histórico de los reyes de Tetzcoco, de Fernando de Alva Ixtlilxóchitl, representa la guerra contra Tenochtitlan y se ocupa de la construcción simbólica de los gobernantes de Tetzcoco. Esta crónica, compuesta por trece relaciones que exploran la historia de la población acolhua en el este de la cuenca de México, representa la intención del autor de persistir en el reconocimiento de su posición social como descendiente de los más importantes aliados del ejército dirigido por Hernán Cortés, versión que confronta la hegemonía de la presencia tenochca en la reorganización del gobierno virreinal español. As memórias da conquista mesoamericana foram registradas em manuscritos conhecidos como o corpus de crônicas da tradição indígena, que respondem a um complexo de significados temporais e espaciais, bem como às preocupações de seus autores com as culturas pré-hispânicas e suas alianças. Neste artigo, estudamos como o Compendio Histórico de los Reyes de Tetzcoco, de Fernando de Alva Ixtlilxochitl, representa a guerra contra Tenochtitlán e aborda a construção simbólica dos governantes de Tetzcoco. Esta crônica, composta por treze relatos que exploram a história da população acolhua na Bacia Oriental do México, representa a intenção do autor de persistir no reconhecimento de sua posição social como descendentes dos aliados mais importantes do exército liderado por Hernán Cortés, uma versão que confronta a hegemonia da presença tenochteca na reorganização do governo vice-reinado espanhol.
