La Ley Federal de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información Pública Gubernamental, el Archivo General de la Nación, el Instituto Federal de Acceso a la Información, los Archivos de la Administración Pública Federal y la Archivística son elementos comunes a una misma tendencia resolutiva de información, pues cada uno de ellos se encuentra altamente ligado al otro y, de no coadyuvar alguno de estos de la manera correcta, el resto de las funciones, procesos y sobre todo los resultados, merma la posibilidad de la adecuada disposición de la información.Abordar las políticas públicas en materia de rendición de cuentas, transparencia y acceso a la información gubernamental en la mayoría de las ocasiones remite a planteamientos y observaciones que se expresan desde el punto de vista político, legal, normativo, democrático y hasta tendencial y, a sabiendas de ello, se busca desde el principio introducir una nueva perspectiva capaz de mostrar, detallar y esquematizar sistemáticamente el trasfondo metodológico archivístico que hace posible el desarrollo eficaz y eficiente de dichas políticas.
