The research approach is mixed: quantitative (graduate surveys) and qualitative (interviews with different professionals) methods were combined. It contains a brief review of the laws involved and provides advice for their inclusion in the degree study plans. Most graduate librarians do not have sufficient knowledge of the laws related to their profession. How can a librarian promote free access to information and defend exceptions for libraries without solid rationale for the topic and tools to achieve it?   Esta investigación no experimental, estructurada y de recolección transversal busca brindar un panorama acerca de la enseñanza de conceptos y normas jurídicas que inciden en la profesión bibliotecaria, tomando como ejemplo a la carrera de Bibliotecología y Ciencia de la Información de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. El enfoque de la investigación es mixto: se combinaron los métodos cuantitativo (encuestas a graduados) y cualitativo (entrevistas con distintos profesionales). Contiene un breve repaso de las leyes implicadas y se brindan consejos para su inclusión en los planes de estudio de la carrera.
