The semi-structured questionnaire consists of three blocks: one concerning the usual cultural activities carried out pre-pandemic, another referring to the period of strict isolation, and a third when certain restrictions were partially lifted. A proportional statistical sampling was used. A total of 400 households were visited and one person over 18 years of age responded in each home. Reading is understood in a broad manner, including literature in general, magazines, and press, without distinction of the support or device in which the practice is carried out. The results obtained show the characterization of readers in the city of Cordoba in terms of gender, age, socioeconomic and educational level, reading preferences, relationship with other cultural activities, and the impact of the pandemic on the practice. En este trabajo se analiza la lectura como práctica cultural de la población de la ciudad de Córdoba (Argentina) a partir de los resultados finales de la encuesta “Actividades culturales en Córdoba. El impacto de la pandemia” llevada a cabo por el equipo de investigación “Tramas de la cultura III” durante mayo de 2021. La encuesta, de carácter semiestructurado, consta de tres bloques de preguntas: uno en torno a las actividades culturales habituales realizadas en prepandemia, otro referido al período de aislamiento estricto y otro correspondiente al momento de administración de la encuesta, donde ya se habían levantado ciertas restricciones. Se utilizó un muestreo estadístico proporcional y en total se visitaron 400 hogares donde respondió una persona mayor de 18 años de cada hogar. La lectura es entendida de manera amplia comprendiendo la literatura en general, revistas y prensa, sin distinción del soporte o dispositivo en que se lleva a cabo la práctica. Los resultados obtenidos muestran la caracterización de los lectores de la ciudad de Córdoba en cuanto a género, edad, nivel socioeconómico del hogar y nivel educativo, preferencias de lectura, relación con otras prácticas culturales y el impacto de la pandemia en la práctica.
