Across a corpus including fragments of her children’s work, her work as a scriptwriter for the children’s program Cuentopos in Spain in the mid-seventies and fragments of her work composed for an adult audience, we intend to analyze the singularity of these productions by the artist. The justification for this approach partly stems from the ideas posited by Pascale Casanova (2001, 2005), for whom national literatures cannot be thought of separately, but within a system of international literary competition. Although Walsh’s productions have become part of what we can identify as Argentine national literature, we know that these notions are problematic in the field of literary theory (Schöning, 2006). We propose then to problematize the notion of national in Walsh’s creations by (re)thinking this dialogue between the national/local and the international/Spanish elements of her work. Este trabajo pretende llevar a cabo una exploración textual e intermedial de lo español en la obra de la artista argentina María Elena Walsh (1930-2011). A partir de un corpus que incluye fragmentos de su obra infantil, su labor como guionista del programa infantil Cuentopos en España a mediados de los años setenta y pasajes de su obra destinada a un público adulto, se pretende analizar la singularidad de estas producciones de la artista. La justificación de este abordaje surge, en parte, de lo planteado por Pascale Casanova (2001, 2005), para quien las literaturas nacionales no pueden pensarse por separado, sino dentro de un sistema de competencia literaria internacional. Aunque las producciones de Walsh han pasado a formar parte de lo que podríamos identificar como literatura nacional argentina, sabemos que estas nociones resultan problemáticas en el ámbito de la teoría literaria (Schöning, 2006). Nos proponemos entonces problematizar la noción de nacional en las creaciones de Walsh (re)pensando ese diálogo entre lo nacional/local y lo internacional/español en su obra.
