Sumario:In this article, we describe the incidence of the addressive hyperlink in one of the genres of digital communication, short texts, and the characteristics that allow this resource to be established as a form of address characteristic of this discursive field. We analyze the occurrences of addressive hyperlinks in an exploratory corpus of short texts published in the Facebook Biography of Chilean subjects. We observe that the addressive hyperlink responds, on the one hand, to a possibility offered by the architecture of the platforms to 'notify' a user who has been named and, on the other, to the users’ needs to employ effective mechanisms to address others and thus confer interactivity. Thus, we propose the conception of the addressive hyperlink as a distinguishing form of address typical of digital discourse, whose analysis is framed from the perspective of vocatives and provides evidence of the short text as an autochthonous genre of digital discourse.
