The methodology consisted of translating and interpreting the article "Spectromorphology: explaining sound - shapes" published in 1997 and identifying and characterising sound events and objects in the work, which were put into dialogue with the concepts presented by the author. The versatility of this approach and its usefulness in describing, explaining and aesthetically evaluating a selection of compositional procedures implemented by Atehortúa in this electroacoustic work was demonstrated. En esta investigación se abordó la obra Syrigma 1 Op. 30 del compositor colombiano Blas Emilio Atehortúa desde la perspectiva de la espectromorfología, herramienta analítica desarrollada por el compositor Denis Smalley. La metodología consistió en traducir e interpretar el artículo "Spectromorphology: explaining sound - shapes" publicado en 1997 e identificar y caracterizar eventos y objetos sonoros en la obra que fueron puestos en diálogo con los conceptos presentados por el autor. Se demostró la versatilidad de este enfoque y su utilidad para describir, explicar y valorar estéticamente una selección de procedimientos compositivos implementados por Atehortúa en esta obra electroacústica. Esta pesquisa abordou a obra Syrigma 1 Op. 30 do compositor colombiano Blas Emilio Atehortúa sob a perspetiva da espectromorfologia, ferramenta analítica desenvolvida pelo compositor Denis Smalley. A metodologia consistiu na tradução e interpretação do artigo "Spectromorphology: explaining sound - shapes" publicado em 1997, e na identificação e caraterização de eventos e objetos sonoros da obra que dialogassem com os conceitos apresentados pelo autor. Foi demonstrada a versatilidade desta abordagem e a sua utilidade para descrever, explicar e avaliar esteticamente uma seleção de procedimentos composicionais implementados por Atehortúa nesta obra electroacústica.
