Héctor A. Murena fue un intelectual subversivo y mesiánico. La propuesta de este artículo es releer los textos que Murena escribió alrededor del año 1970 para rastrear una posible concepción del arte en términos de redención y, así, entender de qué modo bajo el manto de un total escepticismo que parecieran regir sus escritos desde fines de 1940, sus últimos ensayos, sin embargo, construyen una forma específica de la esperanza que le proveen los textos de la tradición jasídicas e islámicas leídos a través de los pensadores frankfurtianos.
