We will see how the academic formulation of shamanic phenomena affects the emergency of neo-shamanism, and how their historical emergence is related to the counter-cultural movements of the sixties, and later with other movements related to New Age and Posmodernity. Last we will address the phenomenon in Uruguay, giving a short description of one of the groups identified the center of alternative therapies Ayariri, related to the Amazon vegetalista tradition. Neste artigo analisamos primeiro o surgimento das práticas neoxamanicas. Vamos ver como a mesma formulação acadêmica do fenômeno xamânico afeta o aparecimento de neo-xamanismo, e como seu surgimento histórico é relacionado os movimentos contraculturais dos sessenta, assim com outros movimentos relacionados à New Age e o pós-modernismo. Depois vamos ver o fenômeno no Uruguai, com uma breve descrição do um dos dos grupos identificados com tradições diferentes: o centro do terapias alternativas Ayariri, inscrito na tradição vegetalista Amazônia. En el siguiente trabajo nos proponemos analizar, en primer lugar, cómo surgen las prácticas neochamánicas. Veremos cómo la misma formulación académica del fenómeno chamánico incide en el surgimiento del neochamanismo, cómo su emergencia histórica se relaciona con los movimientos contraculturales de los sesenta, y luego con otros movimientos vinculados con la New Age y la posmodernidad. Posteriormente abordaremos el fenómeno en Uruguay, realizando una breve descripción de uno de los grupos identificados: el centro de terapias alternativas Ayariri, inscripto en la tradición vegetalista amazónica.
