This leads us to the objective of this work: to show how the analysis of the actions deployed by musicians and businessmen allows us to discuss a perspective that establishes the cultural practices of the Buenos Aires elite as the consequence of the modernizing and reformist actions of the Rivadavian group. In this sense, the biographical trajectory of Rosquellas allows us to displace the focus of analysis of the political program and to situate it in the dynamics of the Buenos Aires musical culture, particularly in the consolidation of opera buffa. Thus, we stress that the conformation of a modern musical scene during the period under analysis was more the result of a network of actions managed by diverse musical actors, rather than the consequence of a cultural program pre-established by the Rivadavian political power.
