En esta segunda parte del análisis sobre la contribución abelardiana al problema de los universales en el texto de la Logica Ingredientibus se examinan la causa communis y la similitudo communis. La primera está a la base de la capacidad significativa del universal, mientras que la segunda está a la base de su capacidad cognitiva. Además, después de presentar las bases del carácter común de lo universal y de las facultades abstractas e intelectuales, se abordan los múltiples significados de lo universal, que son la base de la respuesta abelardiana a las preguntas planteadas por Porfirio. Para ver la primera, véase: Vol. 8 (1987), pp. 39-60] In this second part of the analysis of the Abeldian contribution to the problem of universals in the text of the Logica Ingredientibus, the cause communis and similitudo communis are examined. The former is at the basis of the capacity of signification of the universal, while the latter is at the basis of its cognitive capacity. Furthermore, after presenting the basis of the common character of the universal and of the abstract and intellectual faculties, the multiple meanings of the universal are addressed, which are the basis of the Abelardian response to the questions posed by Porphyry.
