Sumario:The thesis deals with the ocurrence of cognitive biases produced during the\nresearch process in undergraduate students of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Buenos Aires. The main objective was to survey and analyse the types of cognitive biases associated with the research process in a documentary sample of psychology students. Regarding the methodology, the study consisted of an interpretative documentary work, with a diachronic design and a qualitative approach. The study was based on the qualitative analysis of 15 thesis projects and 15 preliminary theses that function as a requirement for the graduation of psychology students. From the analysis conducted, information was obtained on the cognitive biases according to the different stages of the research and writing process of their own undergraduate theses. It was thus possible to describe, categorise and analyse the underlying cognitive and heuristic biases that appear in the students' productions, determining the facilitating and moderating aspects of the emergence of biases in the written documents. We conclude by highlighting the importance of aspects related to the disciplinary field such as epistemic immersion, the reduction of uncertainty, decision making in terms of research and the cognitive strategies put into play during the research process.
