Sumario:The health emergency caused by COVID-19 generated the situation that established, at all levels of formal and informal education, virtuality, as a massive, and exclusive, form of teaching while the pandemic lasted. The purpose of this paper is to analyze why, within the university environment, the use of technological communication and interaction tools, in an unpredictable context, gave rise to a new massive form of teaching, the virtual one. Likewise, I will seek to analyze what are the causes of its permanence, even after the pandemic has been overcome. For this, I will start by analyzing what space technology applied to teaching occupies, particularly in the university, and how its use influences the training of students and teachers. In addition, I will describe the impact generated by the use of mass communication and interaction technologies with the outbreak of COVID-19 for students and teachers, and its contribution or impact\non their performance. Finally, I will mention some of the reasons that, according to my consideration, gave rise to the establishment of massive virtual education in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, today.
