| Sumario: | This article focuses on the relationship between technological innovation, artificial intelligence (AI) and the way of evaluating. It begins by highlighting that evaluation is an integral part of the learning process and that the emergence of AI requires innovations in both teaching methods and forms of evaluation. The text analyzes the impact of AI on education in the Ibero-American region and highlights that AI is a global phenomenon with a significant impact on education. The importance of educational institutions developing skills that allow students to enter or remain in the productive process is also supported. Likewise, the importance of changing the traditional way of evaluating, which is based on memorization, is emphasized, and an approach that encourages student creativity is proposed. This proposal seeks for students to develop their own thinking skills, deep understanding of the content and their creative capacity. Finally, the article concludes by underlining the need to innovate in education without necessarily depending on new technologies, focusing on making significant and justified changes in teaching and assessment |
