In this context, MERCOSUR is not unaffected, as it maintains China as one of its primary trading partners. The following work aims to analyze the absence of a MERCOSUR foreign policy towards China. Firstly, a review of the bilateral relations between the member states of the bloc and the Asian giant will be conducted. Secondly, precedents from other cooperation mechanisms and integration blocs will be analyzed to assess the feasibility of a coordinated foreign policy. China, bajo la política exterior asertiva de Xi Jinping se ha posicionado como uno de los polos ascendentes de mayor relevancia, disputando la hegemonía del eje atlantista liderado por Estados Unidos. En ese contexto, el MERCOSUR no resulta ajeno toda vez que mantiene a China como uno de sus principales socios comerciales. El siguiente trabajo tiene por objetivo analizar la ausencia de una política exterior mercosureña frente a China. En primer lugar, se hará una revisión de las relaciones bilaterales entre los miembros del bloque y el gigante asiático. En segundo lugar, se analizarán antecedentes de otros mecanismos de cooperación y bloques de integración con miras a la viabilidad de una política exterior coordinada.
