| Sumario: | The purpose of the article is to analyze the transition from traditional teaching of law in Mexico to a comprehensive model consistent with the human right paradigm, incorporating into the teaching-learning process the advances in pedagogy, didactics and information and communication technologies. For that purpose, we engage in a historical review of the most representative aspects of law teaching from Rome until the late 20th century and the early 21st century, analyzing the traditional law teaching model and a transition towards a comprehensive teaching model to address social and legal-political changes. In particular, the constitutional reform of 2011 as regards human rights, which called for the incorporation of a human rights course in the course of studies for the Law degree. Thus, we analyze the case of the law degree from the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico. Lastly, we suggest that human right teaching requires a transition from a regulatory approach to a holistic approach, involving knowledge not only of human rights regulations, but also about the understanding of sociocultural processes and the context of human rights, thus connecting Law with other disciplines. |
