However, it is only with the studies of the 1970's that the theory of mental attribution had a renewed impetus, with the imputation of mental states to chimpanzees in laboratory research. Contemporary authors such as Quintanilla, Gomila or Scotto trace the second-person perspective of mental attribution, complimentary but exceeding the first (subjective) and third (objective), where the inter-subjective interaction becomes relevant. This work tries to apply the aforementioned concepts to the analysis of some rulings of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires' courts where the actors, to solve claims related to social rights, must perform a mental attribution of the subject. Hume, en su Tratado sobre la naturaleza humana, estableció que la empatía resulta indispensable a esos fines, para escapar a nuestro propio interés y aprehender la perspectiva y el interés de otra persona. Sin embargo, no es sino con los estudios de la década de 1970 que la teoría de la atribución mental tuvo un renovado impulso, en los trabajos de laboratorio con chimpancés y la imputación de sus estados mentales. Autores contemporáneos como Quintanilla, Gomila o Scotto rastrean la perspectiva de la segunda persona de la atribución mental, complementaria pero superadora de la primera (subjetiva) y tercera (objetiva), donde la interacción intersubjetiva cobra relevancia.
