The stress response can affect the function of this organ rebounding in birds health and production. The effect of the supplementation with a cholagogue, choleretic and lipotropic supplement of broiler chicken diets maintained under commercial production system and subjected to an stress maneuver was analyzed here. Treatments (1 = stress and supplement, 2 = supplement, 3 = stress and 4 = control) were assigned at random to each one of 4 experimental groups. At slaughter (day 50) body weight, food intake, food conversion and productivity index were registered. Control group showed the higher body weight (2.430 ± 320 g) followed by groups 1 (2.310 ± 366), 2 (2.300 ± 350 g) and 3 (2.200 ± 310). Food intake was 4.330 ± 236 g (group 4), 4.280 ± 270 g (group 3), 4.200 ± 266 g (group 2) and 4.192 ± 237 g (group 1). Food conversion was 1.91 ± 0.03 (group 3) and 1.78 ± 0.02 (group 4) with intermediate values for other groups. Stressful maneuver affected productivity of the birds causing reductions in the analyzed indicators. The hepatoprotection improved the efficiency, particularly in stressed birds. Although medicated birds had less body weight that the controls, their productive efficiency was similar to those. |

Los cuadros de estrés pueden afectar el funcionamiento de dicho órgano lo que repercute en la salud y producción de las aves. En el presente trabajo se analizó el efecto de la suplementación con un producto con propiedades colagogas, coleréticas y lipotrópicas en la dieta de pollos parrilleros de mantenidos en condiciones de explotación comercial y sometidos a una maniobra de estrés. Los tratamientos (1 = con estrés y suplemento, 2 = con suplemento, 3 = con\nestrés y 4 = control), se asignaron al azar a cada uno de 4 grupos experimentales. A la faena (día 50) se registraron peso vivo, consumo de alimento, conversión alimenticia e índice de productividad. El grupo control acusó el mayor peso vivo (2.430 ± 320 g) seguido por los grupos 1 (2.310 ± 366), 2 (2.300 ± 350 g) y 3 (2.200 ± 310). El consumo de alimento fue de 4.330 ± 236 g (grupo 4), 4.280 ± 270 g (grupo 3), 4.200 ± 266 g (grupo 2) y 4.192 ± 237 g (grupo 1). La conversión alimenticia fue de 1,91 ± 0,03 (grupo 3) y 1,78 ± 0,02 (grupo 4), con valores intermedios para los otros grupos. La maniobra de estrés afectó el rendimiento de las aves ocasionando mermas en los indicadores analizados. La hepatoprotección mejoró la eficiencia de las aves, en particular en las estresadas.
