Sumario:Abstract : The present paper aims to analyze and reflect on the characteristics of the pieces of art present in teaching-learning processes, in particular sculptures representations and installations accompanying the academic career in law, from an interdisciplinary perspective in social sciences (critical juridical sociological, reflexive and gender). To that end, we have proceeded to gather twenty plastic works: twelve statues, monuments and busts belonging to the permanent collection and two temporary installations exhibited inside the UBA School of Law, and six pieces located in nearby areas. We observed that plastic works related to justice and law are part of the visual devices that make up the daily scenario of current and future legal operators. In general, sculptures exhibited inside the School of Law, although located in a peripheral Latin-American context, are associated with an aesthetic of the Western European culture. Besides, they are related to gender roles and stereotypes in society: in many cases they reinforce
