| Sumario: | Upon the basis of his own personal experience and in a conversational style, the author addresses those who must submit their thesis for a PhD degree or a Master's degree. He suggests that some circumstances and factors should be taken into account when choosing their Thesis Director. Ideally, the first step would be to identify the role of the Thesis Director and recognize the different kinds of relations that can emerge from the interaction between him and the thesis student writer. This is the starting point from which the profile of a "good Thesis Director" could be defined, composed of certain characteristics, both objective and subjective. Nevertheless, in the present work, the author deals with the subject in a different way, as if these general basic aspects are already known by readers. The author gives practical advice to the Dissertation writers, although at the same time he states that they should be careful when applying it, for they will be the ones who prejudice or benefit from them. The article also features the answers he usually gives to most frequently asked questions. In advance, it can be said the path begins by knowing the regulation currently in force and verifying that the possible Director meets the requirements formally established, so as to undertake the analysis of significant factors. |
