Sumario:This work is the result of the research done by the authors during the first module of the Training Course for University Professors (within the frame of the cooperation agreement entered into by University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and the University of the Republic, Uruguay). As the central topic of themodule was University Pedagogy: University Politics and Regulations, the theme chosen for the essay reflects the interest of the authors in the generation of a teaching-learning process that allows students to develop a better future profession. This article is intended to contribute to the introduction of meaningful learning strategies in the classroom by giving examples of some didactic tools, applied by the authors in their teaching practice, and other institutional experiences at the University of the Republic Law School, in the light of the present debate of teachers' functions and role.
