Sumario:This article shows the potentiality, for civic education in high school, implied in the psychological studies about specific youth learning processes in Legal Sciences. From our own experience in teacher training, we highlight the value of giving the future professor a solid knowledge in "domain learning". First, from the perspective of Constructivist Educational Psychology, we present the fundamentals of such studies as well as some of its main contributions. In particular, we outline studies on social knowledge construction about political and legal concepts. Second, we analyze the value of such studies for the Law teaching to youth. In this sense, we propose and evaluate the potential teaching uses of these studies, enhancing their scope and limitations.
