Esta obra nos permite adentrarnos en las formas que adquiere la enseñanza y aprendizaje del derecho en los Estados Unidos, a partir de la recopilación de entrevistas a profesores, alumnos y exalumnos, y conocer, con ello, las diferentes cualidades, actitudes y técnicas desarrolladas durante ese tiempo por "los mejores profesores de derecho". El libro se compone de diez capítulos y cuatro apéndices.
