Therefore, I will analyze the consequences that the mentioned acquisition implies for the professional exercise and the autonomous learning. Nevertheless, in the area of Law, I claim that the mentioned acquisition of scientific criteria may have implications in the quality of democratic institutions. That is the case as long as we understand democracy as the public participation of citizens in the task of demanding and giving explanations in regards of the acts of government. In this sense, the legal technicians play a fundamental role. Buenos Aires, Argentina Jurisdiccion internacional Herszenbaun, Miguel Alejandro 2018 En el presente trabajo nos proponemos analizar una de las notas distintivas fundamentales de la educación universitaria: la adquisición de criterios de cientificidad para un área especializada. En este sentido, analizaremos las consecuencias que tal adquisición supone para el ejercicio profesional y el aprendizaje autodidacta. Sin embargo, en el terreno de la abogacía, advertiremos que tal adquisición de criterios de cientificidad podría tener implicancias en la calidad de las instituciones democráticas. Esto es así en tanto consideraremos a la democracia como la participación pública de los ciudadanos en la tarea de exigir y dar razones en lo referente a los actos de gobierno. En este sentido, los técnicos jurídicos juegan un rol fundamental.
