Sumario:The purpose of this essay is to discuss about the new technologies that have appeared in the world since the emergence of Bitcoin in 2009 given that they mean a revolution not only in certain aspects of the economy and finances, but also because they have proven to be very useful in a wide variety of scenarios and have resulted in the appearance of totally disruptive applications. The advantages that come along with these technologies are undeniable, as well as the vulnerability caused by inadequate regulations, both for individuals and for the countries. So the purpose of these lines is to promote the debate in order to achieve an efficient regulation that protects both consumers and investors, but mainly that will help prevent the financing of terrorism and money laundering, among other criminal activities that can take advantage of these technologies.
