| Sumario: | The authors studied the Tei index calculated thorough the two-dimensional M-mode guided echocardiography and determined the normal value for the dog. They also compared the results obtained by this technique with normal Tei index value measured by flow wave Doppler technique. For this purpose 47 cardiologically healthy dogs were used and the obtained value for the M-mode technique was 0,4710 ± 0,178 while for the flow wave Doppler technique was 0,4327 ± 0,1842. The statistical processing through Student t technique demonstrated that the differences do not have statistical significance. |
