Then, we will make a brief summary of Hobbesian anthropology as an introduction to his conception of natural liberty and equality of the "state of nature" and the specific causes of the "war of all against all". We will try to\nelucidate the "historical" or "fictional" character of the state of nature, whose aggressiveness results in the "social contract," an instrument related to the modern theory of "representation," which we will also discuss. Before analyzing the main attributes in the Hobbesian sovereignty, we will delve into the foundations of "punishment" in the Leviathan's economy (section X). Facultad de Derecho; Argentina Gabriel, Silvia Cristina 2009 Nos proponemos en este trabajo ofrecer un panorama actual de la discusión en torno a la teoría política diseñada por Hobbes en el Leviatán. De la materia, forma y potencia del Estado cristiano y civil. Para ello, nos abocaremos, en primer lugar, a establecer los contrastes más destacados entre el programa de Hobbes y los planteos políticos de los pensadores "clásicos", en particular, Aristóteles. Seguidamente, haremos un breve esbozo de la antropología hobbesiana a modo de antesala de su concepción de la libertad e igualdad naturales\npropias del "estado de naturaleza" y de las causas específicas de la "guerra de todos contra todos". Intentaremos dilucidar a continuación el carácter "histórico" o "ficcional" del "estado de naturaleza" cuya belicosidad desemboca en el "pacto social", instrumento ligado a la teoría moderna de la "representación" en la que también incursionaremos. Previo pasar revista a los atributos fundamentales\nde la soberanía hobbesiana, concluiremos este trabajo interrogándonos acerca\nde los fundamentos que recibe el "castigo" en la economía del Leviatán.
