Se presentan en este artículo experiencias recogidas durante la estadía en la Biblioteca Estatal y Universitaria de Baja Sajonia, llevada a cabo por la autora, como personal bibliotecario de la Universidad de Buenos Aires en el marco del Proyecto Fomec 719 para el mejoramiento de la enseñanza superior.  Se ilustra acerca del nuevo edificio de la biblioteca, los servicios prestados y se comentan algunos proyectos que lleva adelante la biblioteca.
