I28-R145-987_oai2025-02-11 Flores Torres, Oscar Robles Garza, Magda Yadira 2017-07-13 This article presents the analysis of the elements that explain the high density, not only of population, but also of economic activities that currently exist in the city of Monterrey, whose irreversible trend started a year after the outbreak ofthe Second World War. This industrial process derived from the economic development strat-egies undertaken by the Mexican State promoting, through fiscal and financial incentives, subsidies and support infrastructure the metropolitan area of Monterrey. However, the foundations of post-revolutionary social con-stitutionalism were present when this process of industrialization had a major setback with the nationalization of the electricity industry in Mexico. As we shall see, the foundation of this process had its origins in the social and economic approaches of Venustiano Carranza when defining the economic activity of the State in the exploitation of natural resources.
