We will try to translate SEG 34.1532 and trace the term γερουσία and the vocabulary related to this council, and to examine the data about its existence and power in Ptolemaic Egypt, in addition to its connection with the Alexandrian gymnasium. The reading of this inscription and its historical and social contextualization will allow us to also discuss about the technical terms associated with the γερουσία in the late Ptolemaic period. En este artículo nos proponemos analizar la terminología registrada en SEG 34.1532, especialmente las referencias que aluden a la existencia de la γερουσία en Egipto ptolemaico y sus funciones administrativas vinculadas con el gimnasio de Alejandría. Intentaremos traducir SEG 34.1532 y rastrear el término γερουσία y el vocabulario relacionado con este consejo, y examinar los datos sobre su existencia y potestad en Egipto ptolemaico, además de su conexión con el gimnasio alejandrino.
