This work interrogates the theoretical performance that such think would currently keep; it also examines the characteristics that the critique has taken, when tackling the history of Chilean theater, it has focused on its identity personality and finally it goes through the ideological and theoretical budgets of what such practice lays on. En Chile, la usual interpretación del fenómeno teatral en relación con el concepto de “Identidad”, ha dado origen a múltiples lecturas, en la teoría y en la crítica teatral, transformando la articulación “teatro-identidad” en la matriz interpretativa de mayor preponderancia en tal reflexión.
