Sumario:In Arlt‟s dramatic writing we can find a profound dialogue between the foreign models and some vernacular forms resulting in a highly intertextual drama. Roberto Arlt makes flexible porous borders and uses various domestic and foreign models to transgress the rules of academia, in order to discuss the concept of Argentina literature of his time as a kind of independent and isolated speech, and to question the canon and the national tradition. This article focuses the important relationship of Arlt‟s theater with his national model: Armando Discépolo.
