Roberto Arlt makes flexible porous borders and uses various domestic and foreign models to transgress the rules of academia, in order to discuss the concept of Argentina literature of his time as a kind of independent and isolated speech, and to question the canon and the national tradition. This article focuses the important relationship of Arlt‟s theater with his national model: Armando Discépolo. En la escritura dramática de Arlt se produce un profundo dialogismo entre los modelos extranjeros y ciertas formas vernáculas resultando una dramaturgia altamente intertextual. Roberto Arlt flexibiliza las fronteras y hace porosos los diversos modelos nacionales y extranjeros, para, en última instancia, transgredir las normas de la academia, discutir el concepto de literatura argentina de su tiempo como discurso autónomo y aislado, cuestionando el canon y la tradición nacional.
