The vocabulary of these Web sites is very colloquial and emotional. There are terms using the determined article (the) as first word, others with a different meaning from that of the standard language need scope notes, some homonyms require parenthetical qualifiers, and several synonyms and pseudonyms (name of players, coaches, stadiums, clubs), as well as abundant terms in English language that demand an equivalence relation. We conclude that the standards and guidelines may be useful to improve precision in the information retrieval, without changing the typical terminology of the football soccer environment. Se analizó la terminología empleada en las taxonomías de 31 sitios Web de clubes de fútbol argentinos, 20 oficiales y 11 no oficiales, de acuerdo con las normas de construcción de tesauros y las directrices para el control de autoridades de nombres y materia. El vocabulario empleado en estos sitios Web es coloquial y expresa cierta carga emocional. Muchos términos incluyen un artículo determinado (el, la, los, las) como primera palabra, otros necesitan una nota de alcance por tener un significado diferente al de la lengua estándar, hay homónimos que requieren un calificador y numerosos sinónimos y seudónimos (nombres de los jugadores, técnicos, estadios, clubes), así como abundantes términos en inglés que demandan una relación de equivalencia.
