Based on the respective experiences of academic exchange in Rio de Janeiro in which the authors participated, this work reconstructs common aspects of their research trajectories in that city by carrying out a comparative exercise with their research with young boys and girls from working-class neighborhoods and street vendors from the city of Buenos Aires. This analysis focuses, first of all, on the implications of the enrollment of ethnographic work, investigating the relationships built on the basis of (dis)trust upon the insertion of the anthropologists in the different social environments. Secondly, the analysis focuses on the particularities acquired by ethnographic research in social contexts crossed by different forms and manifestations of violence(s), trying to deconstruct the meanings (local and proper) associated with it, in order to approach a problematization of the native use of this category that would allow the outlining of some theoretical generalizations. |

A partir de las respectivas experiencias de intercambio académico en Río de Janeiro de las que participaron las autoras, el presente trabajo reconstruye aspectos comunes de sus trayectorias de investigación en dicha ciudad realizando un ejercicio comparativo con sus investigaciones con jóvenes de barrios populares y vendedores callejeres de la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Dicho análisis se focaliza, en primer lugar, en las implicancias de la inscripción del trabajo etnográfico, indagando en las relaciones construidas en base a la (des)confianza a partir de la inserción de las antropólogas en los distintos escenarios sociales. En segundo lugar, el análisis se centra en las particularidades que adquiere la investigación etnográfica en contextos sociales atravesados por distintas formas y manifestaciones de la(s) violencia(s), procurando deconstruir los sentidos (locales y propios) asociados a ella, a fin de aproximarse a una problematización del uso nativo de esta categoría que permita trazar algunas generalizaciones teóricas. Baseado nas próprias experiências recolhidas nos intercâmbios acadêmicos no Rio de Janeiro em que as autoras participaram, neste trabalho foram reconstruídos aspectos comuns das suas trajetórias de pesquisa nessa cidade, e realizou-se um exercício comparativo com suas pesquisas com jovens de bairros populares e vendedores ambulantes da Cidade de Buenos Aires. No primeiro momento, dita análise foca nas implicações da inscrição do trabalho etnográfico, e investiga as relações construídas com base na (des)confiança produto da inserção das antropólogas em os diferentes espaços sociais.
