Through the analysis of some specific examples, it shows how Aristarchus’ own ideas about Homer greatly shaped the Homeric text that he produced; it thus raises the question of the reception of a literary author by philologists and the problems related to it. El artículo discute la recepción de Homero en la Alejandría helenística, particularmente en la obra de Aristarco de Samotracia. Después de analizar brevemente cómo la edición de Aristarco tuvo un impacto en el texto homérico que todavía leemos en la actualidad, el artículo se enfoca en el método y los principios seguidos por Aristarco en su trabajo sobre la Ilíada.
