Through my ethnography amongst activists whose aim is to install the right to decide on the political status of the Basque people, I examine their daily actions, wondering what happens when people reflect and creatively produce values that inform the social production of citizen rights, calling into question the inevitable lethality of the link between State-Nation and Capitalism. Este trabajo busca contribuir al conocimiento antropológico de las maneras en que las personas se organizan colectivamente y producen vidas dignas en un contexto contemporáneo de crisis del capitalismo, puesta en jaque del Estado de bienestar y un desgaste paulatino del valor de la imaginación al servicio de proyectos políticos alternativos. A partir de mi etnografía con activistas que trabajan para instalar el derecho a decidir sobre el estatus político del pueblo vasco, examino sus acciones cotidianas preguntando qué ocurre cuándo las personas reflexionan y producen creativamente valores que informan la producción social de entramados de derechos ciudadanos que, como en este caso, cuestionan la letalidad inevitable del vínculo entre Estado-Nación y Capitalismo. Este trabalho procura contribuir ao conhecimento antropológico das formas pelas quais as pessoas se organizam coletivamente e produzem vidas dignas em um contexto contemporâneo da crise do capitalismo, um estado de bem-estar em xeque e um desgaste gradual do valor da imaginação ao serviço dos projetos políticos alternativos.
