Taking into account that the right to freedom of expression and information is part of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and that librarians are a vital part in the process of access to knowledge, this article focuses on censorship during that historical period in our country, with the aim to reconstruct the mechanisms through which censorship was exercised and to highlight some resistance actions that made it possible that even in dangerous situations books could be found by their readers. Durante la última dictadura cívico-militar en la Argentina los ámbitos de la educación y de la cultura sufrieron la censura y la represión mediante distintos mecanismos implementados por parte de los militares que tomaron el poder.
