However, an academic vocal production mode, based on lyrical/choral style and aesthetics, appears repeatedly to consolidate itself as a prototype in the approach to different forms of singing, without taking into account the context, heterogeneity and identity of each style. This article tries to reflect on the future of song teaching and, in particular, its relationship with the approach of popular music. A lo largo de la historia el canto ha tenido un lugar fundamental en la práctica musical por lo que se constituyó como una habilidad a desarrollarse en los espacios de formación del músico profesional. Los caminos para llegar a esto han sido muy diversos. Sin embargo, un modo de producción vocal académico, basado en el estilo y la estética lírico/coral, aparece repetidamente para consolidarse como prototipo en el abordaje de las distintas formas de canto, sin tomar en consideración el contexto, la heterogeneidad e identidad propia de cada estilo. Este artículo pretende reflexionar acerca del devenir en la enseñanza del canto y, en particular, su relación con el abordaje de las músicas populares. Ao longo da história, o canto ocupou um lugar fundamental na prática musical, razão pela qual se tornou uma habilidade a ser desenvolvida nos espaços de treinamento dos músicos profissionais. Os caminhos para conseguir isso foram muito diversos. No entanto, um modo de produção vocal acadêmico, baseado no estilo lírico/coral e na estética, parece consolidar-se repetidamente como um protótipo na abordagem de diferentes formas de canto, sem levar em conta o contexto, a heterogeneidade e a identidade de cada estilo.
