Although contemporary research has stressed the modern aspects of the Cusanus' theory of knowledge, its affective and moral dimension shouldn't be forgotten. The present article sums up three essays written by the American researcher Jasper Hopkins (PhD Harvard 1963): “Prolegomena to Nicholas of Cusa's Conception of the Relationship of Faith to Reason”, “Nicholas of Cusa on Wisdom and Knowledge” and “The Virtues according to Nicholas of Cusa”. We believe that Professor Hopkins' review of these subjects shows in each case the necessary inter-relationship that exists between the ethical and the cognitive facets of the human's mind search for truth. We therefore underline these points in our conclusions. El presente artículo reúne tres ensayos escritos por el investigador americano Jasper Hopkins (doctorado en Harvard, 1963): “Prolegomena to Nicholas of Cusa's Conception of the Relationship of Faith to Reason”, “Nicholas of Cusa on Wisdom and Knowledge” and “The Virtues according to Nicholas of Cusa”.
