Sumario:This article attempts an integral approach to Warburg’s work to show that, beyond the setbacks that are part of the History of Art, the proposal of the German researcher, aimed at the development of a “memory of images”, ensures a definition of art understood as “politics of life”. The article claims to show that warburguian thought acquires its current relevance insofar as it offers elements to think contemporary becoming around images. If the present is a “combat” of images, iconology presents a heuristic that allows us to understand the senses and possibilities inscribed in such combat.
