The article claims to show that warburguian thought acquires its current relevance insofar as it offers elements to think contemporary becoming around images. If the present is a “combat” of images, iconology presents a heuristic that allows us to understand the senses and possibilities inscribed in such combat. Este artículo intenta un abordaje integral de la obra de Warburg para mostrar que, más allá de las contrariedades que forman parte de la Historia del Arte, la propuesta del investigador alemán, dirigida a la elaboración de una “memoria de las imágenes”, tiene por objetivo final construir una definición de arte entendida como “política de la vida”. El artículo quiere mostrar de este modo que el pensamiento warburguiano adquiere su relevancia actual en la medida en que ofrece elementos para pensar los devenires contemporáneos alrededor de las imágenes.
