I analyze a series of tasks in which the use of this tool makes it possible to craft different artifacts, destined to contain domestic livestock, or for commercial exchange. I focus on Ingold's concept of task. Through this concept the relations between humans and non-humans acquire a vivid perspective. Allows me to focus dynamically on the changing relationships in which the ax is inserted, putting the focus on two analytical levels. First, the communities of practice that bring together male members of the family group, based on certain actively negotiated projects. Second, the practical-perceptual and affective skills that the actors develop by actively relating to an environment made up of multiple non-human actants. |

El presente artículo examina el uso del hacha en una familia “puestera” del Departamento Alberdi, ubicado en el noreste de Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Analizo una serie tareas en las cuales la utilización de esta herramienta permite elaborar artesanalmente distintos artefactos, destinados a contener el ganado en el plano doméstico o al intercambio comercial. Me centro en el concepto de tarea de Ingold. A través suyo adquieren una perspectiva vivida las relaciones entre humanos y no humanos. Permite enfocar de modo dinámico las cambiantes tramas relacionales en las que se inserta el hacha poniendo el foco en dos niveles analíticos. En primer lugar, las comunidades de practica que nuclean a los miembros masculinos del grupo familiar a partir de ciertos proyectos activamente negociados. En segundo, las habilidades practico-perceptuales y afectivas que ponen en juego los actores al relacionarse con un trasfondo socio ambiental formado de múltiples actantes no humanos. Este artigo examina o uso do machado em uma família “puestera” do departamento de Alberdi, localizada no nordeste de Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Analiso uma série de tarefas nas quais o uso dessa ferramenta permite a elaboração artesanal de diferentes artefatos, destinados a conter gado em casa ou para troca comercial. Eu me concentro no conceito de tarefa de Ingold. Através dele, os relacionamentos entre humanos e não humanos adquirem uma perspectiva vivida. Permite focalizar dinamicamente as mudanças nos tecidos relacionais nos quais o machado está inserido, concentrando-se em dois níveis analíticos. Primeiro, as comunidades de prática, que reúnem os vários membros masculinos do grupo familiar em torno de projetos negociados ativamente. Em segundo lugar, as habilidades prático-perceptivas e afetivas que os atores desempenhavam quando se relacionam com um campo de relações socioambientais compostas por múltiplos atores não humanos.
