Considering such programs as a way to discuss the role of this music in the Pan-American project, I intend to discuss how those productions helped to increase a musical sensibility about the South American musical folklore as a result of exchanges between experts on the subject in Brazil and US. This analysis proposal aims, likewise, to contribute to the deconstruction of the notion of Brazilian authenticity associated with radio production and the value of folklore as a central element in the construction of its identity. En este artículo busco cuestionar la relación entre la producción de un nuevo paisaje sonoro en la radiodifusión comercial propuesto por los proyectos culturales panamericanos y las acciones de una red construida por los productores musicales, investigadores, compositores y políticos a través de la representación de la música brasileña en programas musicales creados por Alan Lomax en la radio estadounidense CBS. Teniendo en consideración estos programas como una manera de discutir el papel de esta música en el proyecto panamericano, procuro examinar en estas producciones una nueva sensibilidad sobre el folclore musical de América del Sur como consecuencia de los intercambios entre expertos en el folclore en Brasil y Estados Unidos. Esta propuesta también tiene como objetivo el análisis y la deconstrucción de la noción de autenticidad de la música brasileña asociada con la producción radiofónica y el valor del folclore como elemento central en la construcción de su identidad. Neste artigo busco discutir a relação entre a produção de uma nova paisagem sonora pela radiodifusão comercial associada aos projetos culturais pan-americanos e as atividades de uma rede constituída por produtores musicais, pesquisadores, compositores e políticos, por meio da análise da representação da música brasileira veiculada em programas produzidos por AlanLomax na rádio norte-americana CBS. Considerando tais programas como forma de discutir o papel desta música no projeto Pan-Americano, intento identificar nessas produções a emergência de uma nova sensibilidade musical sobre o folclore musical sul-americano como resultado do intercâmbio entre especialistas no assunto no Brasil e EUA.
