So, the essay aims to contribute to ethnographies of popular music and to its historical analysis.  Este ensayo presenta un análisis teórico de la forma de escucha de la música popular. Tomando como punto de partida la idea de que la constitución de la música popular como objeto de análisis se ha dado relacionado a un tipo intelectual de escucha, el ensayo invita el lector a una reflexión sobre una escucha más abierta a aspectos como el cuerpo y la danza, y que sea capaz de comprender de una forma más amplia diferentes significados de la música popular. Así, el ensayo pretende hacer una contribución tanto a las etnografías de la música popular cuanto a sus análisis históricas. Este ensaio apresenta uma reflexão teórica sobre formas de escuta da música popular. Tendo como pressuposto que a música popular se constitui como objeto a partir de análises que valorizam um tipo de escuta intelectual, o ensaio convida o leitor a pensar uma escuta mais aberta ao corpo e à dança, capaz de compreender de forma mais ampla diferentes significados atribuídos à música popular.
