Sumario:This article deals with the different models of dance historiography. Currently, the first teleological approaches have become outdated and the history of dance has become more complex. In the 1990s, a double semantic displacement occurred. On the one hand, this displacement aimed to renew the traditional methodology of dance history; on the other hand, it sought to redefine the discipline through its integration into cultural studies. This article attempts to demonstrate that the model of cultural history opens a way to establish a dialogue between opposed approaches in dance history.
