| Sumario: | This essay revives and shares the remembrance of the 13th Ayacucho International Meeting of Group Theater. To that end, the essay highlights the characteristics of the event’s origin, its founding relation with the Odin Teatret and the relation between the Odin Teatret and Latin-American groups, especially the Yuyachkani Cultural Group, from Peru, and the Contadores de Mentira, from Brazil. The essay approaches the event as a mythical event, analyzing how in its importance we might glimpse the tradition of those theatre groups that participated in the 1978 edition and see how the dialogues held in the encounters throughout these years have fostered a prolific production of knowledge and experiences concerning the theatrical practice. |
